Lunge with Curls

  • Exercise name: Lunge with Curls

  • Exercise description:

    • Starting Position: Stand upright with feet shoulder-width apart, holding dumbbells in each hand with arms extended at your sides.

    • Lunge Phase: Step forward with your left leg, lowering your hips until both knees are bent at approximately a 90 degree angle. Ensure your front knee stays directly above your ankle.

    • Curl Phase: While holding the lunge position, perform a bicep curl by lifting the dumbbells towards your shoulders, keeping your elbows tucked close to your body.

    • Return Phase: Lower the dumbbells, then push off the front foot to return to the standing position.

    • Repeat: Repeat the motion, alternating legs.

  • Technique that must be performed to count: Must perform a full deep lunge with forward thigh parallel to the ground. Must curl weights all the way to upright position.

  • # of repetitions before shooting: 6-10 total.

  • Casual division modifier: Lighter weight or Less Reps

  • Exercise equipment needed: x2 20 lbs dumbbells, weight bags, or kettlebells.
