Sandbag Squat Thrusters

  • Exercise name: Bag Thrusters

  • Exercise description:

    • Start with sandbag at chest height; feet shoulder-width; brace core; maintain upright posture; prepare for smooth squat-to-press motion.

    • Lower into deep squat;

    • drive through heels to stand explosively;

    • press sandbag overhead in one fluid motion; return to chest and repeat.

  • Technique that must be performed to count: Must perform a deep squat with thighs parallel to the floor. Fully extend arms above your head.

  • # of repetitions before shooting: 3-5

  • Casual division modifier: Lighter weight or Less Reps

  • Exercise equipment needed: Sandbags, Ammo cans, or barbells w/ weights
